Brio Intelligence Client is a legacy desktop business intelligence application used for ad hoc querying, data analysis, and report creation. It allows users to connect to common data sources (typically via ODBC/JDBC), build visual queries or write SQL, and analyze results through interactive grids, pivots, and charts. Reports and dashboards can be designed with calculated fields, filters, and formatting, then saved as reusable .BQY documents for sharing. The client can run standalone or integrate with a Brio/Hyperion Intelligence server for shared content, security, and scheduling. Outputs can be exported to formats such as Excel, PDF, and HTML, making it suitable for distributing repeatable, data-driven reports. Historically, the product has also been known as Brio Query/Explorer and later Hyperion Intelligence.
Brio Intelligence Client is developed by Brio Software, Inc.. The most popular version of this product among our users is 6.6. The name of the program executable file is brioqry.exe. Works with bqa, bqy and oce file types.
